The indulgent sandwiches here are inspired by classic egg dishes like Eggs Benedict and deviled eggs. You can add hollandaise to any order! myegghole.com
Winlock, WA
The world’s largest egg monument is here. (Or is it? Others believe Mentone, IN might be.)
Los Angeles: Konbi
You’ve likely seen the egg sandwiches from this spot on Instagram: The restaurant has become famous for its photogenic version of a Japanese tamago sando, made with a soft-boiled egg, egg salad and fluffy milk bread. konbila.com
Las Vegas: Cracked Egg
This chain has a full menu for egg lovers, but it’s most famous for the Sin City Skillet: a dish of home fries, melted cheese and two eggs. thecrackedegg.com
Austin: Juan in a Million
This place is small but its breakfast tacos are anything but. The one-pound Don Juan El Taco Grande includes eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese in a tortilla. juaninamillion.com
New Orleans: Brennan's
This is the home of next-level Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Hussarde, a Big Easy twist on the classic made with a red wine sauce, was invented here in 1951. brennansneworleans.com
Des Moines: Egg King
Iowa produces 20% of America’s eggs, so it’s a fitting location for this pop-up, which sells Korean street food plus over-the- top creations like scrambled egg pizza and an “egggogi” sandwich of bulgogi and eggs. facebook.com/eggkingdmi
Warsaw, IN: Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe
The eggs here are sourced from the restaurant’s own 10,000 acres of farmland. You can choose from omelets and scrambles or less expected options like kettle chip–encrusted Scotch eggs. crazyegg.info
Syracuse, NY: Mother’s Cupboard
The six-pound frittata (locally called a fretta) at this hole-in-the-wall includes a jumble of eggs, potatoes, peppers, sausage, pepperoni and veggies. If you finish it, you’ll get a coveted spot on the diner’s wall. 315-432-0942
Beach Haven, NJ: The Chicken or the Egg
At this restaurant you can choose from eggs (platters, sandwiches) or chicken (wings, pot pie). If you can’t decide, try the Buffalo chicken omelet, served with hot sauce and a side of blue cheese or ranch. 492fowl.com
New York City: Eggshop
This restaurant serves egg sandwiches, pesto “green eggs and ham” and egg white cocktails like the Pretty Woman, a frothy mezcal-Aperol concoction. eggshopnyc.com
Newport, RI: The Hungry Monkey
Only nine people have completed the “King Kong Challenge” and polished off the 15-egg omelet at this café. If you finish the dish in an hour or less, you get a T-shirt — and your meal is free! hungrymonkeycafe.com
