This snacking setup will deliver your spread of gooey, cheesy, spicy, crunchy football snacks directly to your guest's fingertips. Literally, the food will spin right over to them, and no one has to lose their seat on the couch. The secret? A small remote control car that allows you to auto-spin the giant snack server — you'll never have to reach across the coffee table to grab the chips.

SUPPLIES

• One 24-by-3/4-inch round wooden surface
• One 10-inch wooden or plastic lazy Susan
• One 24-inch round piece of artificial grass
• One 12-by-3/4-inch square wooden surface (for the base)
• Pencil
• Ruler or tape measure
• Compass
• Twelve 3/4-by-2-inch self-sticking heavy-duty Velcro strips
• Hot glue gun
• One long piece of removable painter's tape
• One remote-control car, plus remote and batteries
• Two toy goalposts (about 6 inches tall)
• Galvanized metal bucket
• Colored paper, team stickers or other team decorations for the bucket
• Plastic spoons in team colors
• Ice
• Beer
• Snacks, such as hot wings, meatballs, guacamole, salsa, dip, cut-up vegetables, chips, pretzels, popcorn or cheese puffs, crackers, cookies, candy, cupcakes

How to Make It:

Make the turntable: Measure and mark a dot in the center of the large wooden round then use a compass to draw a 10-inch circle around the dot to mark where you will attach the lazy Susan.

Attach the wooden round to the top of the lazy Susan with 6 strips of Velcro, making sure the lazy Susan is centered so the wooden round doesn't wobble as it turns.

Flip over the wooden round and use hot glue to attach the artificial grass to the top.

Use 6 more Velcro strips to attach the square wooden surface to the bottom of the lazy Susan. Flip over the turntable so the grass is on the top and place it on a coffee table or serving area.

Position the car: The purpose of the square base is to lift the lazy Susan high enough so that you can fit your remote-control car snugly underneath. Make sure the car is powered up and then turn it upside-down and slide it under the large wooden round about 1/2 inch in from the edge. It’s important that the car fit snugly and the wheels just touch the coffee table under the large wooden round. The wheels won't turn if the car is squished, but they do need enough friction to grip. Adjust the height of the turntable by adding popsicle sticks or a small stack of paper under the base or under the car.

Remove the lazy Susan. Put some doubled-up painter's tape on the roof of the car. Turn the car upside-down and stick it to the coffee table with the wheels up. Return the lazy Susan to the table so the car sits 1/2 inch in from the edge of the large wooden round.

Decorate! Use hot glue to attach the toy goalposts at opposite ends of the turntable.

Decorate the outside of the galvanized bucket with colored paper in your team's colors, team stickers and other spirit decorations, if desired. Fill with ice and beer and center it on the turntable.

Put snacks, dips and hot foods in shallow bowls and dishes on the lazy Susan, making sure to distribute their weight evenly. Turn on the remote to check that the wheels of the car can spin. You may need to add or remove wedges under the base of the lazy Suzan if the weight of the food on the wooden round prevents the car wheels from turning.

Give each guest a plastic spoon in their favorite team color. Launch popcorn or cheese puffs from the spoons through the goalposts like edible catapults. Score and win control of the remote and use it to turn the turntable so your favorite snacks are in front of you.
