To adjust to current stay-at-home and social-distancing recommendations, Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) evolved its annual event, which was originally planned as a physical event in locations across the Asia Pacific region, into AWS Summit Online, a free online conference.

The cloud computing community was able to connect, collaborate and learn through various online sessions. Featured speakers included Andy Jassy, chief executive officer, Amazon Web Services, Dr. Werner Vogels, chief technology officer, Amazon.com, and Matt Garman, vice president, AWS WW sales and marketing. Virtual sessions focused on machine learning, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, security, migration and modernization, custom computer vision models, and more.
