For the First Time Ever, Oreo Is Putting Sprinkles in Its Iconic Cookie
It has sprinkles inside and out — and a second creme that tastes like 'rich chocolate cake!'

Oreo cookies don’t look a day over … well, we don’t know what. But it sure is remarkable to realize that the sweet snack-time staple is about to celebrate a milestone birthday: On March 6, 2022, the iconic cookie officially turns 110.
But the brand isn’t waiting for spring to start celebrating. It’s launching a birthday-riffic limited-edition Oreo Chocolate Confetti Cake Cookie (which is a mouthful in more than one way) — with pre-sale of the festive cookie on OREO.com starting at 10:00 a.m. ET on January 11. On January 31, the cookie will be available at retail stores nationwide.
Oreo Chocolate Confetti Cake Cookies are the first limited-edition Oreos to feature rainbow sprinkles both inside and outside the cookies. Plus, the cookies’ creme filling features two layers: a colorful, sprinkle-speckled version of Oreo’s signature white creme as well as a second creme that evokes the flavor of “rich chocolate cake.”
“For over a century, Oreo has brought fun, playful experiences to fans and we will continue to do just that as we celebrate our 110th birthday,” Sydney Kranzmann, Oreo’s U.S. brand manager, said in an announcement. “Our celebration is inspired by the magical birthday moment that spans generations and cultures…when you close your eyes, blow out the candles and make a wish.”
We wish for more cookies … and maybe a nice, tall glass of milk.
Many happy returns, Oreos.
